the wellness part

my approach to wellness starts with paying attention. how do you feel? what do you need? what are you making time for, and where are you running yourself into the ground?

i care about the everyday things that help us feel better: movement we enjoy, time to decompress, and habits that fit into the lives we actually have. i also believe there’s value in doing something simply because it feels good. everything doesn’t need to be productive.

i want taking care of yourself to become something you make room for regularly, instead of something you finally get around to when you’ve had enough.

things i would recommend making room for

movement you enjoy
pilates is my favorite. find something you actually want to go back to.

meditation
a little time to sit with yourself before everyone else gets access to you.

getting outside
walk the dog. get some fresh air. look at something that isn’t a screen.

books + podcasts
something that teaches you something, changes your perspective, or makes you laugh. all three count.

time away from your phone
you don’t need to be available to everyone every waking hour.

doing things purely because you like them
watch the movie. paint something. have a hobby you’re not trying to monetize.

regular time for yourself
book the facial. take the class. put it on the calendar before everything else fills the space.
